Get me back on track

I received an email the other day from an Ideal Life Planner™ user that i want to share with you. It gave me inspiration to help get me back on track without me noticing I was off track, She said how much she liked it and whenever she read it she thought of me and wished me well. She went on to say that she didn’t always take the time to use the planner every day. Well, I wrote her right back, thanked her for the email and said I had to be perfectly honest with her. I told her that some days I didn’t use the planner I created either. Even though I know so much better, I too get carried away with my busy schedule and don’t do what I know I need to do.

I have found that on those days that I don’t make a plan for my day, don’t acknowledge all that I am grateful for, don’t take the time to track my positive and healthy food choices are exactly the days that don’t go as well for me. I lose sight of my purpose, eat junk food, and forget to take a 10 minute break here and there to relax or meditate and find myself seeing my day in a more negative light. It happens to all of us. It is so easy to get sidetracked no matter how hard we try to stay on track, live with purpose and clarity, and peace.

The great thing is I have everything I need to immediately get me back on track. It is all right there for me, waiting for me. My planner won’t yell at me or make me feel bad. I specifically made sure I set it up so it couldn’t.

There is no deadline on when we get it right. We might always be wavering from good choices vs. poor choices that we think will feel good at the moment, but don’t support us. The important message is to never quit. Yesterday is simply, so, well, yesterday. It could be ten o’clock at night and your entire day might have been terrible. It has to be okay, because you can’t change the past.

Take a few minutes you would normally spend dwelling on the negative and plan how your next hour is going to go. Plan how tomorrow will be different and write out what it is that you are going to do that will make it different. One small step in a different direction will take you to a different place. Remember, no one can do it for you, but you can do it! Anytime you start over, you are taking the gift of what you learned with you.

Be at peace with where you are right now and keep in your mind the powerful Affirmation to hand “Get me back on track” remember fortune and achievement favor’s the prepared mind.

YOU DO ENOUGH!

Part of achieving some balance in your life is to understand and accept that life is an eternal work in progress.  Getting caught up in the myth that you can get it all done if you work hard enough prevents you from seeing what the present moment has to offer.  It’s never going to be all done.  You have the power to give yourself permission to decide your priorities and determine what really must be done. Don’t get caught up in unnecessary busywork because you believe you must be busy all of the time or you are being unproductive.

Take days where you choose only your most important tasks for the day and let go of anything that is not absolutely vital.  Instead of focusing on “doing it all”, explore ways to balance important demands. Take time on a regular basis to release lingering feelings of pressure, inadequacy or resentment. Have an “I let go of perfectionism” day! Take a day where your to do list has the least amount of items you can get by with.

End your day acknowledging what you have accomplished and anticipate what can be done tomorrow!

WHAT YOU SAY AND WHAT YOU THINK – YOU HEAR IT ALL!

Today, keep tabs on where the thoughts you think most, take you. The built in filter mechanism most of us have that keeps us from saying inappropriate things to others, does not work as well when it comes to how we speak to ourselves. Each thought we have usually has a good or bad emotion attached to it, which usually influences the next thought. Those thoughts can quickly determine our outlook for the day. Before we know it, our non-stop voice can quickly determine how our day is going to go.

Choose to have more thoughts that are uplifting and encouraging.  Positive beliefs present you with hope and optimism.   Hope and optimism drive you so much further with confidence than negative messages.

Decide and commit to sending yourself messages that are powerful, uplifting and encouraging.  The great news is that by just being aware of our thoughts, puts us ahead of the game.  When you hear your thoughts going in a direction that does not serve you, your mind is now set to quickly redirect your thoughts to a way that supports you and your best interests.

See yourself as only good, for often it is our thoughts that pave the way to the results we experience!

My Plan For My Day Is Awesome!

Don’t you just love those times when your ‘work’ or your ‘to do list’ happens to be doing what you love the most?  Today the details in my planner include getting all set up for a weekend of meeting new people and having the privilege of displaying and talking about the Ideal Life Planner and our newest addition to Inspired Living, The Faithful Life Planner!

I have a table at a women’s conference named By Design at Church in Action in Arnold, Missouri, Friday October 21, 2011 and Saturday, October 22, 2011.  This is a conference where you can expect to be refreshed and restored!  What a perfect place for me to get to display and talk about both the Ideal Life Planner and the Faithful Life Planner!  They have over 100 women attending with great uplifting speakers  and shopping!  That sounds ideal to me!

Instead of feeling frazzled and overwhelmed by getting my books and table set up, I am feeling energized and looking forward to so called ‘working’ That is when you know you have it great, when work is something you can’t wait for.  That seems to be happening a lot for me lately… because…wait there’s more!

How completely fun to say that our newest planner, the Faithful Life Planner made its debut into our first store!  We get to have a spot on Saturday, October 22 at Parables Book Store for a chance to meet everyone who comes into the store.  If you are wondering how I can be two places at once…. the conference and the bookstore are about 1 mile apart and the timing of the breaks for the conference works out perfectly.  I also have a friend who is helping out in case there is a big rush!  Why not hope for the best?

Here’s to taking action and especially action that you love!
